Aaron Crowe is a professional editor and writer who helps people get their message across.
I’ve worked at newspapers since 1986 as reporter, copy editor and assigning editor. Was assistant metro editor at 200,000 circulation Contra Costa Times in Walnut Creek, CA before being laid off in June 2008.
I oversaw group of reporters and help them come up with stories and to move their stories along to the copy desk.
I now am a freelance writer and editor. I’m a section editor at the personal finance Web site WalletPop.com, an Aol site. I cover technology, career, the recession, and sports/money for WalletPop, along with overseeing writers for those beats. I also write, edit and assign SEO (Search Engine Optimization) stories for WalletPop, and write photo gallery stories for the site. I write for a few other AOL sites, including Housing Watch, Rented Spaces and a job finding website.
I also do public relations and write press releases. My writing has also appeared on RedwoodAge.com, a Web site aimed at Baby Boomers, and at Spot.us, a community funded journalism Web site.
Goal: Find a full-time job as a writer, editor, communicator in the Bay Area.
